Senior Structural CAD/REVIT Technician

  • Preferably ONC / HNC / HND qualified in CAD / Civil / Structural Engineering and have a minimum of 8yrs experience.
  • Will be a dynamic, highly motivated and well organised individual
  • Will monitor the progress of all assigned projects and advise Senior Engineers / Directors as required
  • Will provide day-to-day leadership of Technician staff assigned to the appropriate projects
  • Will assign projects to Technicians and monitor the progress of all assigned tasks
  • Will provide and ensure the delivery of high quality service and maintenance where required of good client / sub-contractor relations on a daily basis
  • Will monitor the technical quality, content, consistency, continuity and timeliness of action of all assigned projects and communicate effectively keeping Senior Engineers / Directors informed at all times
  • Will work with Senior Engineers / Directors to coordinate and manage office workload to deliver a quality service to clients
  • Will be competent in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT Structural, CADSRC, CADS Steelwork
  • Will work towards becoming experienced in the use of other engineering software such as AutoCAD 3D, REVIT, SCIA, FASTRACK, TEKLA, Sketch-Up / non-engineering software as required by the Company
  • A good understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its implementation
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office software packages
  • Will be able to communicate effectively with clients / sub-contractors verbally, enabling the building of strong working relationships with them
  • Will be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as on a stand-alone basis
  • Will attend site / project meetings specific to assigned projects where required
  • Will mentor and monitor the performance, development potential and training needs of assigned Technicians
  • Will inform management of resource / manpower requirements
  • Will comply and maintain the Company’s Quality System within assigned area of responsibility
  • Will attend regular CPD events, seminars and other courses to the benefit of the Company
  • Will comply with Company Handbook and Policies
