Business in the Community have this week been holding Responsible Business Week to raise awareness and maximise the powerful role business has in creating a fairer society and more sustainable future.
BITC, in partnership with 3M, hosted a conference which allowed delegates to hear accomplishments from leading companies who are successfully integrating innovation and sustainability strategies to help overcome challenges in their organisations.
HLN are particularly proud to see the success of the conference having provided architectural and design services in the development of the new Auditorium. Yesterday was the official opening of the newly extended facility which has received very positive feedback, including from 3M themselves stating they were “really proud to show it off”.
The Auditorium held over 100 people and with the stage and spacing working really well, it provided a great atmosphere throughout. So many positive comments were made about the Auditorium and the event yesterday and with speakers such as Wynne Lewis, Technical Director R&D, 3M UK and Sally Uren, CEO of Forum for the Future, it’s proven to be a great success.
Workshops and tours were also given around 3M’s Customer Innovation Centre which was formally opened by Professor Brian Cox in September 2014 – another project where HLN provided their design services to 3M.
