NPS Huddersfield is an acquisition site not previously used as a Probation Service office. The detached converted church building is on a steeply sloping site with a canal to the lower rear end of the site. Gated hard standing is suitable for car parking to both the left and right of the building. The shared public and staff access is to the top of the site and easily accessible from the highway. The property will be in shared occupancy, with the other occupant owning the Landlord's offices. There are several shared areas on all floors, namely the circulation and access spaces. These are mainly out-of-scope areas for the fit-out project.There are two dedicated PS ground floor entrances/exits. One towards the front of the building leads directly to the dedicated PS Reception Area and includes an internal access ramp. The other to the rear of the property is only accessible via an external stair and is for staff use only. The ground floor of the building is fitted out for Reception, Waiting, WC, and Interview Rooms, plus several Group Rooms. The ground floor has multiple level changes, internal ramps, and several new proposed walls that must be acoustically detailed for privacy. The final layout has been subject to change since the original Client side proposals were received due to various structural issues with the building that are now resolved within the design.The first floor is a staff-only space accessible via the scope Landlord's circulation area. This area does include an existing lift and a WC block. The site is fitted to staff-only office specifications within the first floor (a newly constructed mezzanine). It contains open plan desking, meeting rooms of various sizes and a breakout space. Again, this space has been remodelled since the original proposed GAs were received from the Client.Finishes throughout are to the PS Guidance, except that the existing plasterboard ceilings are retained in some areas of the ground floor and across the whole of the first and second floors. All colourways and carpets etc., are as per standard fit-out guidance.
